פרופ' אביהו שושנה הוא ראש החוג למנהיגות ומדיניות ומרצה בחוג לייעוץ והתפתחות האדם (ראש התכנית להנחיית קבוצות ללימודי תואר שני) באוניברסיטת חיפה.

תחומי מחקר: מחקריו עוסקים בחיבור שבין תרבות, חברה ומושג העצמי היינו באופנים השונים בהם תרבויות, ומיקומים חברתיים בתוכן, משפיעים על מושג העצמי, רגשות וזהויות חברתיות. תחומי מחקריו עוסקים בפסיכולוגיה של מעמד; פסיכולוגיה של אתניות  וגזע; גזענות יומיומיות; פסיכולוגיה רגישת-תרבות וטיפולים רגישי- תרבות; דינמיקות והשפעות של טיפולים קבוצתיים; חקר העצמי, רגשות ודינמיקות קבוצתיות בקבוצות תמיכה וקבוצות לעזרה עצמית; השוואות בין תרבותיות של מושג העצמי ורגשות בחיי היומיום; אנתרופולוגיה של החינוך.
