פרופ׳ דבי גולדן היא אנתרופולוגית חברתית וחברת סגל בחוג למנהיגות ומדיניות בחינוך (במגמה לחינוך חברה ותרבות) ובחוג לייעוץ והתפתחות האדם (במגמה הרב-תחומית לחינוך והתפתחות בגיל הרך). 

תחומי מחקר: מחקריה של דבי גולדן מפנים מבט אנתרופולוגי אל סוגיות הקשורות בחינוך וגידול ילדים. בשנים האחרונות מחקריה מתמקדים בזיקות שבין משפחה/אמהות לבין מערכת החינוך.
